Description
This Panel Mount 10K Dual Logarithmic Potentiometer with On-Off Switch is a two-in-one device featuring a dual-ganged potentiometer along with an integrated on-off switch.
The potentiometer half consists of a dual standard log-taper 10Kohm potentiometer with a grippy, smooth shaft that is easy to turn yet firm enough to stay in place. It includes a built-in on/off switch at the start of the shaft’s rotation, making it ideal for audio projects controlling both power and volume.
Unlike linear potentiometers, this logarithmic pot changes resistance on a curve, matching the human ear’s perception of volume changes, providing a natural volume control experience.
This potentiometer is not breadboard friendly due to pin spacing and layout. It is recommended to solder wires or use a custom PCB.
Installation involves drilling a hole in your project enclosure to mount the potentiometer securely with the included washer and hex nut.
