Add a vibrant and bright 1.9″ color IPS TFT display to your project with this breakout featuring the ST7789 driver.
This small 320×170 pixel 16-bit color display uses 4-wire SPI communication and has its own pixel-addressable frame buffer, making it perfect for use with microcontrollers with limited memory and pins. The IPS panel ensures excellent color visibility up to 80 degrees off-axis.
The breakout board includes the TFT display mounted on a flexible circuit connector, an ultra-low-dropout 3.3V regulator, auto-reset circuitry, and a 3/5V level shifter allowing compatibility with 3.3V or 5V logic and power. Additionally, it incorporates a built-in microSD card holder so you can load full-color bitmaps from a FAT16/FAT32 formatted microSD card (microSD card not included).

Note: Designed originally for smartwatches and similar devices with a protective glass overlay. To prevent the backlight from peeling off from the TFT, a plastic or glass cover is recommended when using the display bare. Alternatively, use a small amount of adhesive or thin tape to secure the layers.
Extensive open-source Arduino libraries and CircuitPython drivers are available for quick development. Documentation and example code are available at Adafruit’s Github repositories.
