What’s better than a single LED? Lots of LEDs! Use this ultra bright 1.2″ 8×8 white LED matrix with an I2C backpack for an easy-to-control bright LED display. Perfect for adding graphical output to your projects with minimal wiring thanks to the included driver chip and I2C interface.
This product kit includes:
- Fully tested and assembled 1.2″ LED backpack with STEMMA QT connector
- Ultra-bright 1.2″ 8×8 white matrix
- 4-pin header for easy connection
A bit of soldering is required to attach the matrix onto the backpack, which takes about 5 minutes.

- Built-in driver chip with clock for multiplexing 64 LEDs
- Constant-current drivers for ultra-bright, consistent white LEDs
- 1/16 step display dimming
- Simple I2C interface with three address selection jumpers for connecting up to eight backpacks on a single I2C bus
- STEMMA QT connectors for plug-and-play I2C wiring compatibility
