L4931-3.3 TO-92 Package – 3.3V Output, 250mA LDO Linear Voltage Regulator

Description

Need a reliable 3.3V regulator? The L4931-3.3 is a very-low-dropout (0.4V) linear voltage regulator in a TO-92 package suitable for providing a clean 3.3V supply with up to 250mA current capability. It features 2% voltage regulation, internal current limiting, and thermal shutdown protection.

This regulator is ideal for powering electronics from a 4-20V battery or wall adapter. It works well with 5V power supplies or Lithium polymer/ion batteries as well.

• Very low dropout voltage: 0.4V (requires at least 3.7V input for 3.3V output)
• 250mA peak output current
• Internal current limiting and thermal shutdown for protection
• Constant quiescent current around 1mA (up to 5mA at max load)
• TO-92 package size: 21mm x 5mm x 5mm
• Requires at least 2.2uF electrolytic capacitors on input and output for stability (10uF recommended)

Note: The regulator will dissipate heat based on the input voltage and output current, so additional heatsinking may be necessary for higher power applications.
