If you’re a DIY enthusiast looking to upgrade your project with the latest USB standard, this 10-pack of USB Type C plug connectors is an ideal choice. These connectors can be pick-and-placed onto your design and directly plugged into a USB C port.
The connector features four SMT tabs for mechanical connection; be sure to apply plenty of solder to ensure a secure attachment. While they are not as robust as through-hole tabs, this style is currently the best available for this type of connector.
This low-profile connector offers a reasonable number of pins and enables compact plug-in designs by hugging the edge of a PCB and ‘launching’ off it. This style is demonstrated on the Serpente board with a similar connector.
