Description

The Adafruit METRO 328 is a versatile development board featuring the popular ATmega328 microcontroller. It is designed for projects that require a USB-serial converter and ample GPIO, analog inputs, UART, SPI, I2C, timers, and PWM capabilities.

  • ATmega328 Microcontroller: 32KB Flash (with 0.5KB reserved for bootloader), 2KB RAM, running at 16MHz.
  • Power Options: 7-9V DC via 2.1mm jack (polarity protected) or USB micro, with automatic switching between the two. Includes a power switch on DC input.
  • GPIO: 20 pins, 6 analog inputs, 6 PWM outputs, hardware SPI, I2C, UART-to-USB.
  • Logic Levels: 5V logic with 3.3V compatible inputs; can be converted to 3.3V logic by cutting and soldering a jumper.
  • USB to Serial Converter: Uses genuine CP2104 chip for programming and debugging.
  • Indicators: Four LEDs for debugging: power, RX, TX, and user LED on pin PB5.
  • Bootloader: Comes preloaded with Optiboot, supported by avrdude.
  • Design: Black PCB with gold-plated pads, styled by PaintYourDragon and Bruce Yan.
  • Compatibility: Compatible with all Adafruit designed shields.
  • Assembly: Fully assembled and tested, but without headers or DC jack installed. Headers and DC jack included for soldering if desired, plus 4 rubber bumpers.

Note: Requires FTDI VCP drivers for correct COM/Serial port recognition on Mac & Windows.

Dimensions and Weight: 53mm x 68.5mm x 13mm (with DC jack), 16.5g weight.
