Description
Give your Arduino project a lift with the Adafruit AirLift Shield – a shield that lets you use the powerful ESP32 as a WiFi co-processor. Perfect for Arduino-compatible boards like the Metro M4 or Metro 328 without built-in WiFi.
This shield offloads WiFi connectivity tasks to the ESP32, simplifying your code and enabling high-speed data transfer over 8MHz SPI with TLS/SSL encryption and pre-burned root certificates.
Features include:
- ESP32 WiFi co-processor module
- Separate 3.3V regulator
- Tri-state MOSI chip for SPI bus sharing
- Micro SD card socket for hosting or storing internet data
- Compatible with 3V or 5V Arduino and CircuitPython (requires SAMD51/Cortex M4 minimum)
This shield comes fully assembled, tested, and pre-programmed with ESP32 SPI WiFi co-processor firmware compatible with Arduino and CircuitPython. Note: Arduino ‘328/32u4 have limited RAM for complex tasks or simultaneous SD card use. For best results, use Metro M0 or M4.
