Description
The “poor woman’s” Raspberry Pi A+ / B+ / Pi 2 cobbler! This combo of 2×20 pin (0.1 spaced) header and socket is designed for the popular GPIO Ribbon Cable for Raspberry Pi Model A+/B+/Pi 2 (40 pins). It comes in two parts, a ‘pin-through’ socket and a male header.
The socket straddles the center of a breadboard or Perma-Proto and the header plugs into the top of the socket. This is a cost-effective prototyping solution for using IDC cables with breadboards, which are often difficult due to pin design. It works best when soldered in place. While some users have used it on solderless breadboards, compatibility varies with different boards.
Each order includes one socket and one header. Breadboard, Perma Proto, and IDC cable are not included.
Additional IDC breakout helper sizes available: 2×16 Pins, 2×13 Pins, 2×8 Pins, 2×5 Pins, 2×3 Pins.
